My name is Anne Cook and I am District Commissioner of the Southdown Hunt East Pony Club.  I am following in the footsteps of my mum, Margaret Sheffield, who was DC for 24 years and involved in pony club for most of her life.

I joined the Committee in 2001 and became DC in 2014.  From a young age I was a member of the Mid Surrey Drag Hunt Pony Club when we lived in Surrey and joined the Southdown Hunt Pony Club when we moved to Sussex in 1972.  The Southdown Hunt split into East and West in 1976 and my mother became DC of the Southdown Hunt East.

My Daughter Emma joined the branch at the age of 4 and is still a keen rider. I also have a son, Robert, who attended one mini camp but decided horses were not for him, favouring fishing and football!  My husband is also very supportive and helps at most of our events at Wivelsden.

I hope you will enjoy our website which includes a booking system for all rallies, training, camps, as well as our competitions.  Everything will need to be booked and paid for through this system as we will no longer be taking payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

I look forward to seeing you all out and about this year.

Anne Cook
